About ChillNomad

Why this exists

Moving abroad with a pet means stitching together rules scattered across ministry websites, embassy pages, airline policies and out-of-date blog posts — often in a language you don't read, and often wrong. A single stale breed-ban rumour or a misread waiting period can leave your animal detained at the border. ChillNomad does that stitching once, from official sources, and shows its work.

What we cover

• Pet import rules — country-by-country microchip, rabies, titer, certificate, quarantine and breed requirements.
• Pet-friendly cities — cost of living alongside the country's import essentials, for the cities nomads actually relocate to.
• Airline pet policies — cabin and cargo rules, carrier sizes and fees for major carriers, from each airline's own page.

The standard of evidence

Every claim is checked verbatim against an official source, rated on a tier 1–4 scale, and corroborated by a second independent source before it publishes. Numbers are copied digit-for-digit; anything we can't confirm is flagged, not guessed; and each page shows when it was last verified. The full method is on the How we verify page.

What we are not

ChillNomad is an information resource, not a law firm or a veterinary practice, and not a government service. Requirements depend on your exact route and change over time — always confirm with the official authority before you book or travel.
