This policy explains what ChillNomad collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Who we are
ChillNomad is an independent information site about pet relocation for digital nomads. You do not need an account to use it, and we do not ask you to create one.
What we collect
- Nothing that identifies you directly. There are no user accounts, logins or newsletter sign-ups on the site at this time.
- Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. This is measured in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals.
- Advertising & affiliate data. When advertising (for example Google AdSense) or affiliate links are enabled, those third parties may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure ads and referrals. See below.
Cookies
The core site is static and works without tracking cookies. Where a consent choice is required for advertising or analytics cookies, we default to the most privacy-preserving option and ask before setting non-essential cookies. You can also block cookies in your browser.
Advertising and affiliate links
ChillNomad may earn commissions from affiliate links (for example pet or travel insurance, eSIMs and accommodation) and may display ads. Affiliate links do not change what we publish or how a claim is verified, and they never affect the price you pay. Third-party ad and affiliate networks operate under their own privacy policies, which govern any data they collect.
Third-party data sources
We display cost-of-living data from WhereNext (CC BY 4.0) and broadband medians from the Speedtest Global Index by Ookla. These are datasets we render, not services that receive your personal data through us.
Children
ChillNomad is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or object to the processing of personal data. Because we don't hold accounts, most requests concern the third-party ad/analytics providers; we'll help point you to the right controller. Reach us via the contact page.
Changes
We'll update this policy as the site adds features (such as advertising or a newsletter), and we'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
